So, since the beginning of time, my parents birthdays are 4 days apart from each other. Since my no-so-recent endeavor into cake decorating, I have been on cake baking duty, and the first week of March is always pretty busy! The first cake is for my mother’s 50th birthday, and we had an amazing surprise party for her! As you can see, she was very surprised!
The cake was lemon with a sweet vanilla butter cream
It was really one of the most moist cakes I have made in a long time, I was very proud with the outcome! And I have to say, I was not alone!
The next birthday was my fathers, though not a big elaborate surprise party, a wonderful time none the less. For this cake I used much more food coloring, and my favorite, red velvet cake.
I even added the customized license plate, I couldn’t resist!
It was a great day surrounded by wonderful family and adorable babies!
